IMMIGRANTS RISING WEBINAR
Danae Joseph, an undocumented black DACA recipient and national immigrant rights activist, introduced herself to the community at NMSU and discussed the importance of entrepreneurship for overcoming obstacles faced by undocumented immigrants. She also clarified the use of Individual Taxpayer Identification Numbers (ITINs) and emphasized the need to move beyond DACA to protect all undocumented immigrants. The discussion also covered the success of undocumented immigrants in various fields, the implications of losing work authorization on independent contractors, and the importance of maintaining relationships with clients and potential clients.
